Amalfi Coast, Italy
There’s something magical about waking up to the sight of pastel-colored houses clinging to cliffsides, the Mediterranean Sea stretching endlessly before you, and the scent of lemon blossoms filling the air. The Amalfi Coast had been on my bucket list for years, and let me tell you — it exceeded every expectation.
Day 1–2: Positano
I started my journey in Positano, the crown jewel of the Amalfi Coast. The vertical town cascades down to the sea in a rush of pink, peach, and terracotta buildings. Every corner is a photo opportunity, every meal a revelation.
The beaches here are pebbly but stunning — I spent my afternoons at Spiaggia Grande, sipping Aperol Spritz and watching the boats bob in the harbor. Pro tip: rent a sun lounger early if you want a spot!

Day 3–4: Amalfi Town
Next, I took the ferry to Amalfi town itself. The 9th-century Duomo dominating the main square took my breath away. I wandered through the ancient paper mills, got gloriously lost in the maze of tiny streets, and discovered the most incredible hidden seafood restaurant tucked away from the tourist crowds.
Day 5–7: Ravello & the Hidden Villages
Perched high above the coast, Ravello is quieter and more refined. Villa Rufolo’s gardens are absolutely unmissable — I attended an outdoor sunset concert that I’ll carry with me forever. On my final day, I rented a vintage Fiat and drove the winding coastal road to Atrani, Praiano, and tiny Furore. The trip ended with a Limoncello tasting. Perfect.

The Amalfi Coast is one of those rare places that genuinely lives up to the dream. It dazzled me, exhausted me, fed me extraordinarily well, and sent me home with a phone full of photos and a heart full of something I’m still trying to name. Already planning a return.
